Measured Building Surveys and Draughting Services

FiSCA can provide a measured building survey along with site boundaries, features and levels, for a pre-agreed fee. There are two types of survey provided in digital format in AutoCAD at a scale of 1:1 or some other pre-agreed format, such as A4 size for publicity brochure for Estate Agents

Marketing/Sales Surveys for Auctioneers & Estate Agents.

This type of survey provides pertinent photographs of the premises along with accurate digital floor plans only. No other drawings are provided unless specifically requested. Plans once drawn can be provided in suitable digital formats, at suitable scales for publication, in whatever size is required. Three examples of surveys undertaken by FiSCA are available to download for inspection on the Sample Drawings page.

Architectural Survey.

A detailed measured survey provides photographs and 1:1 digital floor plans, elevations and a section or more if required. Normally one section is provided through the main stairwell. Plans illustrate door and window cases including shutter boxes, architraves, skirting boards, doors, etc, where extant. Cornices, picture rails, dado rails and skirting boards where extant are illustrated on Sections. Sizes of structural timbers where possible, including proper roof sections all illustrated. All architectural details are illustrated and appropriate sections are used so that door and window frames can be distinguished between timber, steel, aluminium or plastic. Opening sashes and casements are illustrated appropriately on elevations. Profiles of architectural features can also be provided if required. Draughting Work.

What do you need doing? I will work for an hourly rate or a pre-agreed fee for a specific task. Drawings prepared from sketches, planning and construction. Schedules of doors, windows, ironmongery, sanitaryware, etc, etc prepared. References available from people who use this service, upon request.

How do I get a quote?

Depends on the type of survey required. A marketing or architectural survey will be quoted for when an appropriate description is provided. If a conservation survey is required appropriate photographs may have to be provided in order to provide a quote.

If I’m happy with the quote, what next?

Upon the appropriate instructions, FiSCA will undertake the necessary survey and prepare the drawings. Once completed the survey will be provided in whatever format you’ve requested.

How long will it take?

If we say it’ll be three weeks, it’ll be three weeks. You’ll be told how long it will take before instructing FiSCA or when you confirm you want FiSCA to undertake the work.

Is FiSCA insured?

We have full Professional Indemnity and Public Liability cover. Copies available upon request.

Is FiSCA Tax compliant?

We are Vat registered and a Tax Clearance Certificate issued by the Revenue Commissioners is available upon request.
